And indeed there is mounting evidence pointing to the fact that firms’ innovation process is increasingly involving partners beyond their boundaries, including research organizations, business partners, and universities (Chesbrough, 2003; Laursen & Salter, 2006). In particular, the organizational agreements between business firms and universities have recently come to the forefront of research.
